Christmas is coming soon, and tomcat Findus is so excited he can hardly wait! But he and old Pettson still have a lot to do before then: bring home a Christmas tree from the forest, receive Christmas visitors and of course write a wish list. Findus is dreaming of something special this year: Father Christmas should personally hand him his present. Old Pettson promises him it will definitely work out—but is not sure whether he can keep his promise. Eagerly, Pettson gets to work, disappearing day after day into his workshop. He draws and saws, hammers and drills, working on a surprise for his cat Findus. But in the end does Father Christmas really hand over a present to Findus? The composition by Philipp Matthias Kaufmann combines the popular story by Sven Nordqvist—“Morgen Findus, wird’s was geben”—with music by Johannes Brahms, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Edvard Grieg. Just like every year, the chance to sing along with Christmas songs will also of course be included.
