  • Horn-Gruppe des Gürzenich-Orchesters Köln

Whenever the horn sounds, a special wind blows: a touch of the thrill of the chase and natural savagery is always in the air when the horns make themselves known in the orchestra. Over the course of centuries, the horn has developed from a simple signal instrument to a virtuoso instrument. The entire ‘horn family’ of the Gürzenich Orchestra presents themselves here in shiny form: with a mouth-blown foray through the horn literature, including classical, romantic, and humorous music – and even a premiere written for this occasion that optimally showcases the horns.
